Intellectual property
Protecting the inventions behind trustworthy AI.
Proofence builds proprietary technology for verifying and governing AI. This page describes our posture toward protecting that work—stated plainly, and only as far as we can responsibly confirm.
Our posture
Proofence develops proprietary verification and trust-orchestration technology. Patent references are published only when confirmed.
We take a deliberately conservative approach to public statements about intellectual property. Where a protection is not yet confirmed for public reference, we do not assert it. That means you will not find speculative claims on this page—only what we can stand behind today, updated as our position is formally established.
The Proofence Engine represents the core of this work: the proprietary verification, evaluation, trust-scoring, policy-orchestration, evidence, audit, and agent-governance technology on which AtlasProof by Proofence and AirTrustOS by Proofence are built. Our aim is to protect the inventions embodied in that engine while keeping our public communication honest about what has and has not been confirmed.
What we protect
Conceptually, not by claim text.
We can describe the areas of invention we work to protect in conceptual terms. We do not expose the proprietary formulas, weightings, or claim language that give them their value.
Verification orchestration
The architecture that coordinates verification, evaluation, and human-review routing into a single decision path. We protect the design of that orchestration without describing the mechanisms that make it work.
Trust-scoring methodology
The methodology by which verification confidence is produced and calibrated. We describe what a trust score is for—an actionable, calibrated signal—while treating the formulas and weightings behind it as proprietary.
Policy and evidence architecture
The way policy is expressed, evidence is grounded, and provenance is preserved so a decision remains inspectable. We protect this architecture as a whole rather than disclosing its internal representations.
Questions about our technology?
Our research pages describe the problems we work on and how we approach them. For anything requiring detail beyond what is public, reach out and we will route your question appropriately.
